Around £290,000 was given to teachers who had been injured in the workplace in the last year, according to a new study carried out by the-the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS). Just under 10,00 NHS staff workers were injured at work in the Glasgow area between 2011-13 according to figures uncovered recently, representing a third of all NHS injuries throughout Scotland.
